Remember Me Rescue is a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Accredited 501(c)3 organization specializing in rehabilitating, retraining and rehoming retired racehorses
Dancewithaprince is an 8 year old gelding. He has a very sweet personality and is about as kind of a horse as I have ever met. He lost his right eye as a yearling but he reacts to every situation just as a horse with both eyes. He is not spooky or concerned. He was rehomed after his racing career but things went wrong sometime between his last race in January of 2017 and May 21st when we picked him up from a horse trader who buys for the killpen. Prince was very underweight and his feet were in terrible condition.
Prince was taken directly to the vet where he received a wellness check, his vaccines, and a new coggins test. The vet thought he condition was due to neglect and not a health issue.
Prince has gained a tremendous amount of weight since arriving at RMR. We are hopeful that he will be ridable by the first of July after he fills out a little more on his topline. The jockey who rode him at the end of his career said he was sound and so gentle he could be ridden bareback with a halter and lead rope in the barn area.
We are certain Dancewithaprince will make someone a wonderful riding partner. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
This was Dancewithaprince on May 21, 2020, the day we picked him up.
He has come a long way and has turned into such a beautiful horse.
