The 2 stallions are now at Remember Me Rescue. One is a 4 year old colt Tailgate Party, the other stallion is a 20 year old Quarter Horse. We are a TB rescue but I just couldn't leave a horse behind to be euthanized just because he had a jerk for an owner who chose not to take care of him. Both horses are in need of a lot weight (around 200-300 pounds), dental work, worming, hoof care as well as castrations. They will be receiving all of that over the next 30 days.
They are currently on a 5 time a day feeding schedule and alfalfa/timothy hay.

The 20 year old quarter horse stallion is in extremely poor shape. He reportedly was with the same owner his entire adult life. I'm not sure how anyone can claim to love horses and do this to them. Being old is no excuse for a horse to be this skinny. But this stallion has more problems than just being way to thin. These horses were neglected in many ways that most of us would not think of overlooking. He and Tailgate Party will receive everything they need while they are here and will be placed in homes with responsible owners as soon as they are ready.
