Door Blower, aka 'John', is 5 year old thoroughbred gelding that was part of the 20 horse rescue in San Marcos in October. He has gained over 100 pounds since arriving at RMR and will be available for adoption in February of 2013. He still needs a little more time and therapy for a injury to his right rear leg from an apparent infected wire cut.
John is very sweet but shy. It takes him a minuet or two to warm up to strangers but once he does he is all over you. He wants very much to be trusting so within a couple of minuets of slow and kind motions John forgets his timidness and is in you hip pocket.
We are hoping for a full recovery from John but doubt he will ever be able to ridden for more than just slow trails but he will be a great candidate for a companion horse.
