LUCKYTABUCKY
Luckytabucky has been officially restarted! After several months off, recovering from knee surgery, we started him off with some groundwork. Lucky is definitely a "thinker" and likes to investigate and process the things that he is being asked to do, and the things that are presented to him. With the extent of the procedure on his knee, we would like Lucky to enjoy having a job that will keep his mind working, but won't be too hard on that knee. So no high performance jobs for this guy. We will get an official measurement on him this week, but he is a pretty tall guy with personality from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail! He is not for a beginner or novice rider/handler at this time, and will need a confident and patient person to bring out the best in him. We can't wait to see how he progresses!

LUCKYTABUCKY'S STORY
Lucky is a 4 year old gelding who was donated by his racing connections. Shortly after his arrival, we made the decision to remove the chip from his knee that caused his retirement. Thanks to our generous followers and donors, we were able to pay for the surgery and take the time we needed to do the right thing for him.
Lucky had knee surgery on 6/30/25 to remove the chip from his knee. It turned out to be a very good decision. The chip was actually 4 chips and without their removal Lucky would have developed crippling arthritis.
Lucky has been rehabbed as if he were going back to a performance career. He had 30 days of hand walking, 30 days of light, controlled exercise, and will now get 30 days of limited turnout before starting back under saddle.
Luckytabucky has the disposition everyone wants. He is a big snuggler, loves to be groomed and nickers at everyone he meets. We feel he will make someone a fantastic riding partner once he is restarted.
