K.O. Rocket
K.O. Rocket is a 3 year old dark bay filly who has never started in a race. Unfortunately Rocket injured her knee and her prognosis for a full recovery for racing was not good. Her owner decided it would be better for her to have a long healthy life than take a chance of her injuring her.
Rocket's sire was a very successful racehorse. Laurie's Rocket was trained by D. Wayne Lukas. He was multiple stakes place and earned over half a million dollars.
Our vet evaluated her for soundness on 4/17/20. He feels her prognosis to be a riding horse are good but only as a trail horse and flat work only, no speed events or jumping.

K.O. Rocket is currently being ridden a couple of times a week with a western saddle. She was apparently very well started under saddle and has done everything we ask of her. She is not your typical mare. She can come right in from the pasture and her friends, stand quietly for grooming and saddling, and then ride right off without a care in the world for her buddies. She is very willing to try new things and is not spooky or afraid of objects on the ground. I think this filly will excel as a trail horse for anyone with a little more training.
