Lil Carpe is a 4 year old chestnut gelding. He was donated to Remember Me by his racing connections after they rehabbed him from a sesamoid fracture at a farm in Kentucky. Once he arrived at RMR, our vet took new x-rays and ultrasounded his suspensory to make sure he was ready to begin riding. His rehab is going very well and he was cleared to begin training. Watch the video below. This was his 3rd day of ground work and his first day under saddle. This guy is amazing and is going to make a really nice horse for someone special.
Lil Carpe may not ever be suitable for jumping or speed related events but will be a perfect horse for any level of rider with a little more time under the saddle and training. He has the sweetest disposition, loves being groomed and pampered, and does not have any bad habits. He has good feet although may require shoes if
riding often or on hard ground.
Lil Carpe has been through our desensitization program. He was very brave and trusted us with everything we asked him to do. He will make a solid trail riding mount or easily be in the show ring with little training. He is a pretty enough mover for English and has a soft, slow trot for Western.
