FLASHY TORO
Flashy Toro has an interesting story. I got a call one day from a killer buyer who had a thoroughbred that was too lame to make the trip to Mexico. He asked me if we wanted him and we made arrangements to have him picked up and brought to RMR. When he arrived feet were so sore he could hardly walk. We ran his tattoo number and I found and called his old trainer who had given him to a lady in Oklahoma who she thought was going to give him a good home.
Toro spent a few weeks at RMR recovering and putting on weight before he was adopted by a equestrian center owner who used him for several months as a lesson horse. She sold her farm a few months later and sold Toro without notifying RMR. We were tipped off and quickly located him.
The man who had him seemed like a good fit and after checking his references we were going to allow him to adopt Toro. Suddenly his job wanted to relocate him and he returned Toro to RMR.
So here we are, we have this great young gelding who is suitable for any level of rider. He is not suitable for jumping or speed events but sound for trails or pleasure riding.
He has been through so much in such a short period of time. If you can give this guy a PERMANENT home please contact us. Although he is suitable for a lesson program I would love see him go to his own little girl and have his own family. He would love to bond with someone. Flashy Toro is a doll. They do not come much more kind than him.
ADOPTION FEE $500
Flashy Toro has been ridden Western and English. He is suitable for a young or inexperienced rider with supervision. Toro is very calm and quiet and forgiving of mistakes. He would make an excellent horse for someone who doesn't want to or can't ride every day. Weekend trails would be right up his alley. He is a very sweet horse and will follow you around like a puppy dog in the pasture.
