This sweet elderly mare was donated to Remember Me Rescue on the last wishes of her owner. He recently passed but asked his family to allow us to rehome her. Unfortunately, the family only called this beautiful lady "Red". We have no idea what her real registered name is. Her tattoo has faded to a point where only a couple numbers are legible. Red's age is estimated to be in the late 20's. She is in good health, just a little thin but gaining weight daily.
Red is not ridable. We are searching for a home for her where she can be a companion to another lonely elderly horse and live out her days with companionship and love. Red's adoption fee is waived to a loving forever home that will care for her until her time comes.
It could be a while before the perfect home for her is found since horses like Red are often unwanted.
