We call her, 'Lady Red'. She is approximately 25 years old, her tattoo is no longer readable so there is no way to identify her for sure. Her lifetime owner recently passed away but asked his family to donate the old mare only known to them as 'Red' to Remember Me Rescue. He left a donation in his will to help us with her expenses. We applaud this generous man who had a plan for his horse.
Red has had her teeth done, has been wormed, and has been on a good feeding program since arriving at RMR. She has gained a lot weight and should not need any extra ordinary care for now, but she eventually will. We are looking for a soft place for her to land with a family who doesn't want to ride. She would make an excellent companion for another elderly horse. Until she can find her place we are looking for a few sponsors to continue her care at RMR.
