Rehabilitating and retraining retired racehorses for sencond careers
Flaming Strike
Flaming Strike with volunteer Collin
Flaming Strike is a 5 year old gelding with a royal pedigree. He was injured at the Fair Grounds on January 31, 2013 where he fractured his right knee and one of his seisimoid bones in his ankle. His owner and trainer donated him to Remember Me Rescue in hopes we can rehabilitate his injuries and give him the opportunity to heal.
We are willing to give this horse every chance to recover from his injuries and have a prosperous long life. Although his injuries have ended his racing career with proper time and rehabilitation he will recover to be a useful riding horse with a few limitations.
We are asking for a sponsors to help us with the costs of Flaming Strikes care while he is recovering. He is stall bound for approximately 6 months and then will be in a small turn out for a few more months. He could be here for a year before being ready for adoption.
Please consider sponsoring Flaming Strike during his time at Remember Me Rescue. Your donation will help us to continue to give retired and injured horses another start.
There are 2 ways you can contribute to Flaming Strikes care at Remember Me. You may make a one time donation through the Pay Pal link on the right or become a monthly sponsor by filling out the info below. No gift is too small, it will add up towards his care. We will list his sponsors at the bottom of the page.
