McMurtry is a 2 year old who's racing career didn't quite go as planned. He was injured early on but his owners made sure he would not just get a good home, but a better life. McMurtry slab fractured a knee and underwent a successful surgery, placing a screw to hold the bone in place as it healed. He was rehabilitated at Highlander Training Center who has the top of the line therapy equipment, and after multiple check-ups he was released by the vet to start retraining for his second career. Then, his owners donated him to Remember Me so he could receive training to help him find a forever home.
McMurtry will be evaluated in the coming weeks and we will be adding information as we learn new things about him. Although, I can already tell you he is a super cute, plain brown wrapper and is a little on the chunky side.
