Shirl's Ready is a 7 year old gelding who was recently retired from racing. His connections donated him to RMR so we could find him a forever home. This super sweet gelding is a little over 16 hands tall. He will need just a little time before doing any serious retraining
.
We have ridden him western and English. It is hard to believe this horse ever raced and almost impossible to imagine he was a really good racehorse, earning over $162,000 in 37 starts.
Shirl's Ready will be suitable for any rider with some experience or who is working with a trainer. Although we never recommend recently retired horses for beginners, this horse should be capable of being a beginner horse with just a little training. Shirl's Ready is limited to flat work only.
Shirl's Ready is current on his vaccines and just had his teeth floated. He is ready to find his forever family.
