LANCE THE LEGEND
Lance The Legend

Lance The Legend is a 4 year old bay gelding.  I can not tell you how sweet he is, you will have to meet him in person to believe it.   Lance was retired from racing due to a broken sesimoid on his back left ankle.  His last race was in November of 2020 and he has had several months on total stall rest here for his rehab.

On January 10, 2022 we took Lance to Dr. Gilchrist at Lone Star Park Equine Hospital for Xrays to check his progress.  We are thrilled to report he was cleared to begin training for his second career.

Lance will enjoy a couple of weeks of turn out before he gets under saddle but he will be seeing visitors in the meantime.   If you are interested in Lance please email remembermerescue@live.com for an application.   He is so stinking cute that once he is under saddle he will quickly find a home so get approved today.

Lance The Legend is extremely handsome.  He has correct conformation and a beautiful head.  He also has a tremendous shoulder and hip.  He has a nice trot and canter and should excel in dressage with the right trainer.  Lance has tons of personality.  (We blame that on his sire, Shanghai Bobby who seems to pass his personality on to his offspring).  We are working with him on not having to touch absolutely everything he sees and put things in his mouth that he shouldn't.  He responds well to correction, almost to the point that you hurt his feelings and he gives you the sad eyes when you correct him.   He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and anyone who meets him will love him.

Please email remembermerescue@live.com for more information on Lance.
