Remember Me Rescue is a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Accredited 501(c)3 organization specializing in rehabilitating, retraining and rehoming retired racehorses.
Lots of Moxie is a cute little dark bay mare who only stands 15 hands tall and 7 years old. Moxie was donated by her racing owner who was also her breeder. She has always been extremely well taken care of and has no bad habits, vices, or history of illness.
Moxie was given some time off for a suspensory injury in 2019. She was treated with stem cell injections and given almost a year off to heal. She came back to race 2 more times in 2020 before needing another rest. Her owner decided not to send her back to the track but instead, to let us find her a second career.
Moxie is currently being ridden western a couple of times a week. She has had a few different riders on her and she has done well for all of them. She is a clean slate and can learn whatever you can teach her. Although she only direct reins at this time, she will be easy to train to neck rein. Moxie will make a good riding companion for anyone who doesn't want a big horse to climb on and off from, making her a terrific trail prospect.
