4 year old Tailgate Party
April 17, 2013
May 11, 2013
Tailgate Party was released to Remember Me Rescue by Sheriff Ben Kirk from Falls County on April 17th. He was seized from Devorah Aikman along with 4 other horses on March 22, 2013. A sheriffs sale was unsuccessful at finding buyers for the malnourished horses and cries went out for help by the Falls County DA to place them before they were euthanized. Blue Bonnet rescue stepped up to take the mares but the stallions were unwanted and it looked like the County had no option after no other rescues will take stallions.
We were notified about the horses through facebook and called the DA for more information. On April 17th we picked up the 2 remaining stallions, Tailgate Party and a 20 year old QH stallion named Coontail Tucker. Both stallions were castrated, wormed, and vaccinated right away.
During his 4 month stay at RMR, Tailgate Party has gained back all of his weight. He has been ridden regularly and he is a sweetheart. He will make some small person or youth a wonderful riding partner for trails and pleasure.
ADOPTION FEE $500
Tailgate Party on the obstacle course
Tailgate Party has come a very long way. He is full of love and really enjoys being groomed. He is the first one to greet you in the pasture when you walk out and has been very willing to learn new things.
It may take a little more time for his muscles to redevelop due to the severity of his malnutrition but in time he will look like any other young healthy horse.
